These are the most commonly requested services, but I love it when I client comes to me with a unique idea. I would love to help you bring your vision to life. Please reach out.
How do we get started?
It is really quite simple. Please reach out to me to discuss your needs. If you don’t have a well-formed idea, I am very happy to use my experience to provide options for you. We will come up with a plan that works for you and is on budget.
For in-studio work I will need a file emailed to me with what you would like written. Consider me a scribe, so I will write out exactly what you provide. Please double check your document for typos and write out, in full, words such as Road, Street, or Apartment if you would like them written this way. Addresses will be written broken down by line as you have provided them, except in rare instances where a line might be too long to fit and I have to make an adjustment.
For live event calligraphy, we will agree on timing, cost and the service you need. I will come prepared with all calligraphy supplies except any custom stationery or products that you provide.
If you have a deadline or a specific event date, it’s best to get in touch as soon as possible so I can add you to my calendar. .
Do you provide paper and envelopes?
I can definitely help source stationery that is appropriate for calligraphy, or work with your stationer to get the best result. I stock basic stationery such as white and off-white place cards and note cards.
How much does calligraphy cost?
Place cards begin at £2 each and table numbers at £8. Envelope addressing begins at £4 per envelope for light coloured, unlined envelopes with left justified or stepped address layouts. Dark paper, lined envelopes and centred writing will be charged at a higher rate to reflect the added work involved. Love letters and poems will be priced individually. If a job is very small, then it might incur a minimum charge of £55 to cover set up time, templating, testing ink and paper, etc.
Once the work is complete, I will ask that payment be made before I ship the stationery back to you.
On-site calligraphy events are charged at £375 for a minimum of 4 hours. Engraving is charged at £400 for a minimum of 4 hours. Day rates are available. Travel time may be added for events outside of central London.
I don’t live near you. Is that a problem?
No, not at all. I work with clients across the UK and in almost all cases, the work I do is coordinated through email, phone calls and shipping partners.
How can I contact you?
You can reach me anytime via email. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
